FAQ'S - Digital Wedding Invitations

Can I print a few copies of my downloaded file on my home printer to send to a few relatives?

Answer: yes you can do that. However we recommend that you get the copies printed by a professional shop such as ZAZZLE. Home printers do not produce the same results because of quality of paper stock, ink cartridges and so on. Since this is your big day, we urge you to get a few copies printed by a professional also, most local print shops will not print because of copyright violations.

Should I use both digital and printed invitations?

We think that a hybrid system is useful. Some of your older relatives or friends may not have social media or perhaps they prefer snail mail. Still, if you can go fully digital we encourage that.

Can I add my photos to the invitations?

Yes, and we think this is a great way to preserve your memories forever.

Will the downloaded file show clearly on Facebook or Instagram?

Yes, the file can be resized to fit any social media.

If I purchase a digital invitation do I own the design?

No. If you buy a poster of the Mona Lisa, you don’t own the Mona Lisa. And if you did buy the Mona Lisa, you did not create it. Digital designs are made up of multiple elements, when you purchase one; you are purchasing it for a specific use such as a wedding invitation. You do not own the various flowers or fonts or other elements in the design. But you have purchased the right to use it for the use that is intended.

Can I design my own invitation?

Yes, sites like ZAZZLE allow one to design and download. If you feel like you have the skills to create your own stationary then go ahead and try it. You might find it to be very rewarding. On the other hand, if you are not skilled with manipulating graphics and do not have the requisite skills, you should focus your energy on other aspects of your big day and leave the designs to a professional.

How long do I have to wait for my downloaded file?

It will come immediately, within seconds, after you pay.

Can I reuse the downloaded file for my sister’s wedding?

The files cannot be altered, so the names and dates are fixed.

Can I change the invitation colors to match my bridesmaid dresses?

Yes. Most invitations and associated files can be easily altered. If you don’t see what you want, try a search and if that doesn’t work then write to us here. Still, there are thousands and thousands of styles on a site like Zazzle and we feel confident that you can find one that will suit your preferences.

Should I hire someone on Fiverr or another site to design my invitations?

We don’t feel that this is necessary. As stated earlier, there are thousands of designs available. Try a deeper search or ask a friend to assist you. Sites like Fiverr do have some good designers on them, but there are also some scam artists around. We love ZAZZLE, but there are also other print shops on the internet such as ETSY, so keep looking and you will find the perfect design for your big day.

I found a site that will print a lot cheaper than what you guys are charging, so why should I buy from you?

Be aware that there are many sites made by people from China and other countries that are just making cheap photocopies and so on. We work with Zazzle and they guarantee all their work. If you are not satisfied you will get a full refund. And the files you get are exactly as you see them on your screen. If you do choose to buy some printed copies, the card stock is durable and the printing is crystal clear.
